A.P.D SOPs
This document contains the standard operating procedures of the Altis Police Force (APF). The following procedures are to be followed by all Officers at all times! Failure to follow and adhere to the department specific policies and procedures will result in you undergoing department review.

Rank Structure + Who does what

Chief of Police: Oversees the overall operations of all law enforcement departments, ensuring that everything runs smoothly and complies with the rules and regulations, the Chief of police will work with the department command to ensure the quality and standards of the APF are upheld.

Deputy/Assistant Chief: Assists the Chief of Police in overseeing the overall operations of all law enforcement departments, ensuring that everything runs smoothly and complies with state laws and regulations. The Deputy/Assistant Chief works closely with the command of the different law enforcement departments to ensure the quality and standards of the APF are upheld. The Deputy/Assistant Chief has the overall authority over all law enforcement departments and has final say regarding the departments, unless overturned by the Chief of Police.

Major: The Majors are the main overwatch of the APF. Each Major will overwatch their own specific task force/department within the APF. The Majors will make decisions within their set department and advise where believed necessary. Their aim is to keep communication between all departments within the APF and ensure that all law enforcement officers are working efficiently. They may also Accept/Deny Police applications and transfer requests.

Captain: The captains are the departments high command. They will run their own department within the APF and ensure that their department is running efficiently. The Captain has the right to veto any decisions made by the Lieutenants(s) of their department. With state command approval, a Captain can promote up to lieutenant, and modify their departments SOP’s. The Captain reports directly to the Major.

Lieutenant: The rank of Lieutenant comes with increased responsibilities. You’ll supervise the lower ranking personnel and may be in command of a subdivision. The Lieutenant will work closely with their Captain to ensure their department is upheld to a high standard. The Lieutenant may be Responsible for running the division when either the Captain or the Major are not on duty or are preoccupied with other duties. The lieutenant reports directly to the departments Captain.

Sergeant: The Seatgeants will be directly responsible for the Officers and Senior Officers. A Sergeants main responsibilities to ensure that the law enforcement officers within their department are abiding by their SOP’s. They will be responsible for making judgement calls when there are no higher ranks (within their department) available at the time. Sergeants are tasked with informing their Lieutenant(s) of any and all misconduct. Sergeants report directly to their departments Lieutenant(s).

Corporal: The role of a Corporal is to delegate the Troopers below them, in the absence of higher commanding officers. In this case, they will ensure that their department is being upheld to the same standard provided, and keep it running smoothly. The departments Corporals will take charge where needed. Corporals report directly to their departments Sergeants.

Officer/Senior Officer: The bulk of the Police force, they are the backbone of APF. The main priority of an officer is to ensure that everyone within Altis are abiding by all laws provided by the Government. They are expected to take the Probationary Officers under their wing and assist them where necessary. All Officers report directly to their departments Sergeants.

Probationary Officer: These members are the newest members within the APF. They require supervision and training. Probationary Troopers are on a one strike policy, and can be removed if they reach that one strike. Probationary officers will also report directly to Sergeants.
Departments + Who does What?
Each Department has its own Separate SOP made by the set department head.

Patrol Officer: The role of a Patrol Officer is to conduct general policing of Altis. Patrol Officers conduct and respond to traffic stops,pursuits,armed robberies,citizen complaints and any calls for backup as well as normal patrols of the Kavala and outer areas. The Patrol Officers should never work on their own, they are apart of a team and must work as such. Always patrol with a partner in order to be successful.

Field Training Officer: Field Training Officers (FTOs) are tasked with training and educating new recruits within the Altis Police Force. FTOs will teach recruits the basics and everything they will need to perform their duties as a Police Officer. FTOs may also be in charge of more advanced trainings for current Officers.

Internal Affairs Agent: Internal Affairs Agents are tasked with investigating Officers misconduct. IA Agents have the power to give out punishments depending on the severity of the breach. When IS Agents are not dealing with an active investigation they will assist with the normal patrol duties.

Criminal Investigations Officer: Criminal Investigations Officers are tasked with finding out the information regarding crimes that have been committed, or are believed to happen in the near future. A CID Officer will either be up close and personal with criminals gathering as much intel as they can, or they will be alongside their Officers, gathering evidence left on the crime scenes, and getting the information needed to prosecute criminals.

Special Tactics and Rescue Squad: STARS is called in for situations that are deemed to dangerous for normal Patrol Officers. Typically a situation involving many of heavily armed suspects, hostage negotiations, Federal Reserves, jailbreak etc. They will be the first port of call when there is an ongoing major crome. All officers of STARS have received special training in order to deal with these types of situations. They are NOT permitted to patrol.
Behaviour Expectations
All Officers are required to act Mature at all times when on duty. By joining the Force you agree that you will be active and will perform your duties according to your SOP to the best of your ability with the utmost Maturity. If you fail to follow any Server Rules/City Laws, then you will be investigated by IA Agents which may lead to termination, suspension, warnings, or even department and/or global blacklisting (EMS+PD).

PMC help can only be requested by the highest ranking A.P.D personnel on the server, and can only be requested if there are no A.S.F members online. If A.P.D does request PMC help for any reason, they must inform what the PMC is using and wearing to other A.P.D members, any A.S.F members, and any other PMCs.

A.S.F is to be the highest division of Altis and must be heavily mature since we are the military (A.P.D never out ranks A.S.F they match in ranks even majors (your in the military not the queens court)

A.P.D follow the same rankings as A.S.F the only difference is and extended training and access to high level weaponry since there maturity and dedication to the server proves they can be trusted with these things. (THIS MEANS YOU ANSWER TO ANY EQUAL OR HIGHER RANKING A.S.F IF NO APD IS ONLINE)

Officers - Corporals MUST wear the Tactical vest.

Sergeants - Captains MUST wear the Carrier Lite.

Majors + MUST wear the Carrier rig.

A Major can give you permission to use a Vehicle/Firearm a maximum of 2 Ranks above you (excluding vehicles of their rank of above).

Under the Extreme circumstances with valid reasoning and no Sergeant + online, you may use a vehicle out of your Rank level. WARNING IF YOU DO NOT HAVE A VALID REASON DISCIPLINARY ACTION WILL BE TAKEN

If You are removed from A.P.D or your application is rejected, the maximum time you must wait before you can re apply is 7 days or one week. For every attempt to re apply within the waiting period, another 7 days will be added to the waiting period.
